The Fight in the Fields tells the story of the fight for the first successful union for farmworkers. Chavez and the UFW were dedicated to non-violence. Their enemies included powerful growers, Ronald Reagan and the Teamsters union; but their friends included the millions of Americans who supported their cause with consumer boycotts.
